People’s Power explained the allegation that the wife of candidate Yoon Seok-yeol, Kim Gun-hee, inflated her career as a part-time lecturer at Korea Polytechnic University, saying, “It is an inaccurate description rather than an intention to inflate her career.”
Choi Ji-hyeon, senior deputy spokesperson for the People’s Power, said through clarification, “Mr. Kim Geon-hee was a part-time lecturer for the 3rd semester from 2005 to 2009 at Polytechnic University, the 3rd semester was treated as an industry-university adjunct assistant professor, and the 4th semester was treated as an industry-university adjunct professor as an associate professor. “I taught for 10 semesters,” he said.
He also argued that Kim’s resume submitted to Kookmin University in 2014 as ‘adjunct professorship’ was not inflating his career, considering that he only wrote 5 semesters even after 10 semesters of lectures.
However, even according to this explanation, during the 5 semesters from March 2005 to August 2007, when Mr. Kim described himself as an associate professor on his resume, Mr. Kim acknowledged that he was not an associate professor, but a part-time lecturer and an assistant professor at an industry-university adjunct professor. Career suspicions are not expected to subside.
Earlier, Rep. Hwang Un-ha of the Democratic Party of Korea said, “Kim lectured as a part-time lecturer at Polytech University from March 2005 to August 2006. has been further raised.
On the 26th, the clarification materials distributed by the People’s Power predecessor committee did not include the explanation of Kim’s false career as an associate professor at Polytechnic University.
