The performance of Intel’s GPU for gaming “Arc A380” is almost the same as GTX 1650

Intel’s gaming GPU, the Arc A380, is finally available in China. This graphics card is manufactured by the TSMC N6 process.

“Wccftech” shares data that is considered to be Intel’s official benchmark. According to this, the Arc A380 competes with NVIDIA’s GTX 1650 and AMD’s RX 6400.

All official benchmark tests were done on an Intel Core i5 12600k with 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, Windows 11 OS and 4TB NVME SSD.

However, in Timespy of the benchmark software “3DMark”, the score overwhelms the GTX 1650 and RX 6400, and the result is superior to the RX 6500 XT. “Wccftech” points out that the hardware potential is there and only the software is missing.

NVIDIA and AMD have taken decades to optimize, so it’s not easy for Intel, which started embarking on GPUs for gaming just a few years ago, to catch up. However, if you can achieve this level of performance, the Intel Arc A380 is likely to be welcomed by gamers as an entry-level GPU, depending on the price.

Wccftech also shares the official benchmarks for Intel’s mobile GPUs, the Arc A770M and Arc A730M. According to this, the Arc A730M is 13% better than the RTX 3050 Ti and the Arc A770M is 12% better than the RTX 3060, delivering average better performance at 1080p.

Although it is not a product with performance that is compatible with the flagship models of NVIDIA and AMD, Intel is likely to attract attention from gamers as a relatively inexpensive GPU. If Intel continues to optimize and support it, it may be able to build a position in the GPU market as well.
