A decision has been made to compensate the victims of Facebook for leaking the personal information of 3.3 million Korean users.

However, it looks like Facebook will just ignore this decision.

They are trying to transform by changing the name of the company called Facebook, but looking at this attitude, nothing seems to change.

Thumb ‘Like’ symbolizes Facebook

This sign has disappeared.

Facebook today changed the company name to ‘Meta’.

We also announced a new company logo that resembles the infinity symbol.

As the immorality of Facebook revealed in the whistleblower was criticized day after day, it tried to transform.

“Our mission remains the same. Bringing people together. From now on, we will prioritize Metaverse, not Facebook.”

Last year, Facebook was fined 6.7 billion won by the Personal Information Protection Commission.

This is because it has been revealed that the personal information of at least 3.3 million Korean users has been leaked to other operators for six years from 2012.

Then, 181 users requested compensation and applied for dispute mediation.

The results came out today.

The Personal Information Protection Committee has decided to mediate that Facebook pays 300,000 won to each person and informs them of what personal information they have leaked.

However, Facebook is unlikely to follow this decision.

Facebook has never attended the dispute resolution process for the past three months and has refused to submit any materials.

I asked for a position on the mediation decision today, but Facebook only replied “no position”.

Under current law, private, non-public entities are not obligated to comply with mediation decisions.

“If Facebook does not accept the mediation proposal, now the applicants will have to file a lawsuit again and have their damage recognized again.”

Facebook faces the biggest crisis as immorality is exposed one after another.

Although the name has been changed, criticism and ridicule for diverting attention are pouring in.
