New Delhi: The Delhi government has reduced the value added tax (VAT) on petrol from 30 per cent to 19.4 per cent, reducing the price by Rs 8 per liter. From Rs 103 to Rs 95. Diesel price is Rs 86.67.
On November 3, the central government reduced excise duty by Rs 5 on petrol and Rs 10 on diesel. Following this, many states reduced VAT.
