Pittsburgh’s Park Hyo-jun relegated to ‘7 games without a hit’

Hyo-Jun Park (25, Pittsburgh Pirates) was relegated to the minor leagues.

The Pittsburgh club announced on the 24th (Korean time) that Park Hyo-joon would go to Triple A Indianapolis.

Pittsburgh sent infielder Hyo-Jun Park and infielder Rodolfo Castro to the minor leagues, and called up infielder Michael Chavis and outfielder Anthony Alford.

Hyo-Jun Park, who made his major league debut with the New York Yankees in July of this year, has steadily seized opportunities after being traded to Pittsburgh.

On August 11, he hit his first home run against the St. Louis Cardinals.

However, the recent slump has taken hold. He went without a hit in seven consecutive games (no hits in 20 at-bats), and his batting average also dropped to 0.197.

He also had an OPS of 0.558 with an on-base percentage of 0.246 and a slugging percentage of 0.311.
