New DelhiFormer New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori says players do not want to return to Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings franchises. Vettori’s response was that they were franchises that could not make it to the playoffs without performing well.

They also aim to go to a successful franchise and seize the opportunity. Those players include Ben Stokes. Rajasthan’s plan may have stockpiled. But they also want to be able to take on the challenge with a team that excels, Vettori said.

These players will not be available throughout the season

This can be a factor. Injuries and workload of another player. Ben Stokes and Archer play a lot of competition. This way the franchise will not get these players throughout the season. This is also the reason why Ben Stokes and Archer were not kept in the team, the former Kiwis captain said.

The Rajasthan Royals have retained three players in their squad. Sanju Samson, Jose Buttler and Yashaswi Jaiswal will remain with the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the star auction. Discussions were high over Rajasthan not retaining Ben Stokes.
