‘Playing abusive files of Lee Jae-myung’ during the election campaign… Police arrest YouTuber

A YouTuber who played the profanity audio file of Lee Jae-myung, the executive adviser of the Democratic Party of Korea, with a loudspeaker, etc., was arrested by the police.

Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station today (10th) executed an arrest warrant for Mr. A, who is known as a far-right YouTuber.

Person A is being accused of transmitting a voice recording containing the abusive language of the standing adviser through a loudspeaker during the last presidential election campaign.

Earlier, the Seoul Election Commission reported Mr. A to the police for violating the Public Official Election Act.

According to Article 91 of the Public Official Election Act, loudspeakers cannot be used for election campaigns except as permitted within the confines of the law.

A was issued an arrest warrant after not responding to the police summons investigation several times.

The police are conducting an investigation against A.
