Niantic, the developer of “Pokemon GO”, announced today (27) that the AR mobile game “Pikmin Bloom” developed by the company and Nintendo of Japan (7974-JP) has been available for download in Singapore and Australia. Japanese players will be in early November. This game will also be playable. Niantic announced in March 2021 that they and Nintendo have signed a multi-year mobile game APP joint development contract.

In the new AR mobile game “Pikmin Bloom”, the mini-creature Pikmin will accompany the player’s virtual double for a walk. As long as you take your mobile phone to go out and walk, you can find Pikmin flower seedlings during the walk. The longer the walking distance, a large number of Pikmin team will be established, and Pikmin will appear when the flower seedlings mature.

Players can cultivate feelings with Pikmins, and through the payment mechanism in the game, the types of Pikmins can also be increased.

This game uses AR augmented reality technology, which allows the real scenery and your own Pikmin to be combined in the screen. Nintendo’s representative director Shigeru Miyamoto also commented on “Pikmin Bloom”. He hoped that players would take photos while traveling and create memories with Pikmin.

Niantic CEO John Hanke said that people walk to make flowers bloom, and daily walks will become a pleasant thing.
