Police crackdown before Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Minar Pakistan rally, many roads in Lahore closed

According to police sources, night raids will be conducted to arrest PTI central leaders Aamir Kayani, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Raja Basharat, City President Mian Imran Hayat, City Information Secretary Raja Usman and others in Rawalpindi but without success.

The police arrested more than 50 workers of PTI from different areas of Rahim Yar Khan, while 26 workers including the son of PTI leader Javed Ansari were arrested in Multan.

Tehreek-e-Insaf says that many of their workers have been taken into custody from Lodhran and Bhakkar as well.

The house of PTI leader Usman Dar was also raided in Sialkot yesterday, but the PTI leader was not present at the house.

All PTI leaders have gone into hiding to avoid arrest. 33 activists were detained in the police crackdown that has been going on for a week, who have been released later by the courts.
On the occasion of Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Minar Pakistan rally, the roads leading to the rally were closed.

On the other hand, the routes leading to the Minar Pakistan Ground have been blocked with containers, while containers have also been placed on the entrance and exit routes of the city.

The routes leading to Minar Pakistan from Ravi Bridge and Railway Station are closed, while containers have also been installed in Shah Alam Market.

Apart from this, Sigiyan Bridge, Engineering University Road routes are closed, Shahdara, Ravi Toll Plaza, Bati Chowk to Minar Pakistan routes have been blocked with containers while Niazi Chowk, Delhi Gate and Dumuria Bridge have also been closed.

According to the in-charge Metrobus, the Metrobus route has been shortened due to the rally and the Metrobus is being run from Gujumta to MAO College.

It should be noted that the district administration has given permission to PTI to hold a meeting at Minar Pakistan tonight.
