Alappuzha: Police take legal action against fake news about Kovid vaccination. The false propaganda was that those taking and going to get the Kovid vaccine should not eat chicken for a week. Two people have died after eating chicken after being vaccinated, according to a fake voice message circulating on social media. The voicemail also said that those who have been vaccinated should eat only home-cooked food for 14 days.

After noticing this, the district police chief G Jayadev directed to take action. A case has been registered at Vallikunnam police station and an investigation is underway.

‘People who are going to be vaccinated should not eat chicken’, says Health Minister

The fake voice message is being spread on WhatsApp in the name of a health department representative. The voice message is from a person who introduces himself as Gangadathan, the special director of the health department. The voice message begins by saying that all hopefuls and health inspectors should immediately share to all groups.

Not only is there no such post in the health department but it is completely wrong to say so. So people should not believe this, ”the district police chief said. The district police headquarters has a special system for monitoring on social media.

Individuals and groups who spread fake messages will be monitored and their accessories will be taken into custody and legal action will be taken. The police chief said that action would be taken against them under the Disaster Management Act and the Infectious Diseases Control Act.
