Pollution Index: Kuwait ranks 111 globally

Kuwait ranks 111 in the global pollution index. Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark are the least polluted countries. Kuwait is in the category of medium risk countries.

In the annual report released by the international organization Trace, Kuwait has reached the 111th position globally with 53 points. The list was prepared by gathering the opinions of experts and businessmen regarding transparency and anti-corruption measures in the countries, dealing with ordinary people and corruption in the public sector.

Last time, Kuwait was ranked 95. This is the third consecutive year that Kuwait’s position in the ranking list has fallen behind. Although he was going to advance in points, Kuwait was going backwards as some countries made progress in the ranking. Globally, Kuwait ranks fourth in the Arab world after Jordan, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates. 194 countries are included in the list, Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark are the least polluted countries in the list prepared by Trace. The most polluted countries are North Korea, Turkmenistan, Syria and Venezuela.
