Popeyes gives biscuits with a New heart; see the details of the day event 'Love That &'; | Food / Restaurants

It is not difficult to find the biscuit love in New Orleans. But how about a biscuit do you like back?

Today (May 14), Louisiana's Kitchen Popeyes is rolling out a special heart-shaped biscuit.

They are “Love That” biscuits and are cooked for one day at Popeyes locations in New Orleans (only Orleans Parish sites), and a handful of other markets (Chicago, Los Angeles and New York).

The heart-shaped biscuits will be sold with Popeyes meals, combinations and plates, and the company reported in a press release.

Heart-shaped biscuits from Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in New Orleans are a special day offer and a few other markets.

Popeyes biscuits are very popular. Last year the chain sold approximately 292 million (about 12 per second, it noticed).

While Popeyes' biscuits would make the gift of a lovely Valentine's Day gift, these “Love That” biscuits are the theme of “National Buttermilk Day” (not mixed with an old National Biscuit Day, which falls on 29 May).

It is the latest in a recent series of gambling outside the script from the fried chicken giant.

On Mardi Gras this year, the Canal Street site offered a “blanket box” with beads to keep a chicken box around your neck for the convenience of the lane (“no flashing is required,” the company noticed). The same Canal shop was one of four Popeyes around the country to offer wings that were beaten in Champagne and coated in edible gold for one day in October.

Popeyes, now based in Florida, was started in Arabi, where the founder Al Copeland Sr opened the chicken component that would grow into a global brand name. Today, the Copeland family run a food company based in Madisonville and still provide Popeyes sizes and mixtures, including its biscuit mix.

Restaurant Brands International received the latest chain (parent company Burger King and Tim Horton) in 2017 for $ 1.8 billion.
