Hoan posted on Instagram on the 26th, “First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize to Monica, who was hurt by this incident, all the public fans who were offended by this incident, and fellow dancers in the street dance scene for this incident that occurred due to my hasty judgment.” wrote.

This controversy began with the JTBC entertainment program ‘Knowing Bros’, which was broadcast on the 20th. On this day, ‘Knowing Bros’ was decorated as a ‘Swoopa’ special, and Hoan took issue with the scene where Monica explains the dance genre.

Monica said, “All movements of pop are called popping, and we take the g from here and call it ‘Poppin’”, while Hoan said through an Instagram story, “The exact name of the genre is popping.” He pointed out that Monica’s explanation was wrong.

About 100 dancers supported Hoan’s opinion and began to doubt Monica’s ability, and finally, the senior poppin Hyunjun stepped in to mediate.

Poppin Hyunjun posted on Instagram on the 24th, “When you objectively talk about the genre of dance, ‘popping’ is correct, and when you read it, you can say poppin.” Then, Poppin Hyun-jun advised, “You should not fight.”

Also on the same day, Poppin Hyunjun said on YouTube, “As the older brother of the street dance scene, I feel very sorry for this incident. I hope that both Monica and the dancers will solve it smoothly. Also, as a senior, I ask for a sincere apology to junior dancers who shot someone with cyber bullying.”

In his apology, Hoan appealed not to misunderstand his pure heart, saying, “I just wanted to convey accurate information myself, and I made a hasty judgment and uploaded the story using Monica-sama’s video.”

Here, Monica fans are reacting that Hoan’s apology itself is wrong, saying that Monica never gave false information in the first place.

Monica, the victim of cyber bullying, doesn’t seem to care.

Monica is promoting the ‘Swoopa Concert’ through Instagram, and is just doing her best. Starting with the Seoul concert last weekend, Monica and other ‘Swoopa’ dancers have toured Gwangju, Daegu, Changwon, Incheon, etc.
