Kochi: The Poxo case against Monson Mavungal, who allegedly swindled crores of rupees by showing his possession of antiquities. Monson’s maid complained that he had sexually abused his minor daughter. Ernakulam North police have registered a case against the Kochi city police commissioner.
The girl was allegedly molested at her home in Kaloor and at another house, promising to facilitate her further education. The girl was abused when she was 17 years old. Now the child has reached adulthood. According to the complainant, she did not disclose the details of the torture for so long due to fear.
The Ernakulam North police registered a case but the investigation and further proceedings were handed over to the crime branch which is investigating Monson’s other cases. The girl’s medical examination is underway. It is learned that the names of some people who were close to Monson are also in the complaint. No further details have been released.
Earlier, another young woman complained that Monson had intervened to settle a sexual assault case. The investigation team is questioning those close to Monson and those who had financial dealings with him. Meanwhile, the Poxo case has also been registered against him.
