New Delhi: Prashant Kishore has nominated Priyanka Gandhi for the post of Congress president. He suggested that there should be two national presidents of the party and a prime ministerial candidate in the 2024 elections. Prashant Kishore has nominated Priyanka Gandhi for the post of chairperson.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi had invited Prashant Kishore to join the Congress. Later, after a meeting with Congress leaders, Prashant Kishore announced that he would not be joining the Congress.

Leaders who wanted to reshuffle the party to prepare the Congress for the 2024 elections were also skeptical of Prashant Kishore’s suitability. Unable to resolve their differences, the two parted ways.
