The final stage has already been experienced. Now, only diving for the Olympic medal remains.

Haram Woo (23, National Sports Promotion Agency) competes in the men’s 3m springboard semifinals in the Tokyo Olympics to be held at the Aquatics Center in Tokyo, Japan on the 3rd. If they are in the top 12 in the semi-finals, they will step on to the finals in the afternoon.

Haram Woo passed the preliminary round in fifth place with a total of 452.45 points in the 1st to 6th rounds.

There are no Olympic medals in Korean diving yet. Even in the finals, Haram Woo is the only player. Haram Woo advanced to the final on the men’s 10m platform at the 2016 Rio Olympics five years ago and placed 11th. It was a feat that the 18 athletes who competed in the Olympics before Haram Woo failed to achieve it.

Haram Woo continued to grow. In the men’s 1m springboard at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, she climbed to 4th place. The 1m springboard is not an official Olympic event. However, he came one step closer to the Olympic medal, finishing 6th in the 3m springboard.

Haram Woo will participate in the 3m springboard and 10m platform in this event. In the previously held synchro 10m platform, Kim Young-nam (25, Jeju Provincial Office) and Kim Young-nam (25, Jeju Provincial Office) teamed up to place 7th out of 8 groups.

To get a medal around the neck, you need to have a qualifying score or higher.

I plan to change the difficulty level. In the fifth round of the preliminary round, Haram Woo performed a movement with a difficulty of 3.0. If they make it to the finals, they plan to raise the difficulty of the 5th period.

Haram Woo said, “I think I found a feeling when it’s good. I will continue to the semifinals and finals with this feeling.”
