Presentation of credentials of four ambassadors and three high commissioners to the President

Ambassadors of four countries and High Commissioners of three countries assigned to Bangladesh presented their identity cards to President Abdul Hamid.

The diplomats presented their credentials to the President at Bangabhaban on Monday (January 30) evening. At this time, they sought the cooperation of the Bangladesh government in fulfilling their responsibilities.

The four ambassadors are Alejandro Simancas Marin of Cuba, Sinisa Pavic of Serbia, Federico Salas Lotfi of Mexico and Didier Vanderhasselt of Belgium.

The three non-resident High Commissioners are – Dr. Trinidad and Tobago. Roger Gopaul, Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh of Ghana and Menzie Sipho Dalmini of the Kingdom of Iswatini.

President Abdul Hamid welcomed the ambassadors to Bangladesh and said that Dhaka’s foreign policy emphasizes friendly relations with all. Bangladesh has always prioritized expanding bilateral relations in terms of trade and investment.

Mentioning Bangladesh as a country of great potential, the President urged the ambassadors to exploit all possibilities to strengthen trade and commerce relations.

The ambassador of Mexico said that they will open an embassy in Bangladesh very soon. This will strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

At that time, President’s Office Secretary Wahad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Zainal Abedin and Joint Secretary Wahidul Islam Khan were present.

Earlier, a cavalry troop of the Presidential Guard Regiment (PGR) provided a guard of honor to the ambassadors as part of the ceremony on their arrival at the Banga Bhavan. Later, the ambassadors and high commissioners visited the Toshakhana of the renovated Banga Bhavan.
