(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Park Kyung-jun = President Moon Jae-in congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron for his re-election on the 26th.

In a post on social media, President Moon said, “I sincerely congratulate you on your successful re-election in the French presidential election, and I expect that France will continue to develop under the leadership of the president.”

President Moon wrote, “I appreciate that the wide support and support of the French people has been reaffirmed by being re-elected for the first time in 20 years as an incumbent president of France.”

President Moon said, “Korea and France have overcame difficulties together for over a century and have deepened cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture.”

“I am delighted to reaffirm the comprehensive partnership for the 21st century between the two countries, taking the opportunity of my 2018 state visit to France,” he said.

“I expect the bilateral relations to become stronger during the president’s tenure,” Moon said.
