On the 28th, President Yoon Seok-yeol will hold a summit meeting with the heads of five Pacific Island countries at the Presidential Office in Yongsan, Seoul.

Starting at 3:00 pm, President Yoon will hold talks with Kiribati President Tanetti Maamau, Tonga Prime Minister Xiaosi Sovaleni, Tuvalu Prime Minister Kausea Natano, Vanuatu Prime Minister Ismael Kalsakau, and Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape.

These leaders visited Korea to attend the Korea-Pacific Islands Summit to be held in Korea on the 29th and 30th.

The summit will be held under the theme ‘Cruise for Common Prosperity: Strengthening Cooperation in the Blue Pacific’.

This is the first time a summit has been held between Korea and Pacific Island Countries.
