President Yoon moved into office for the first time in his office in Hannam-dong, 6 months after taking office

President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was staying at his private residence in Seocho-dong, Seoul, has moved to the official residence in Hannam-dong.

I started going to work from the official residence today.

There have been a number of controversies regarding the official residence in the meantime, but the move into the official residence was completed six months after taking up his post.

Six months after taking office, the official residence and office were located in Yongsan.

The distance from the official residence in Hannam-dong to the Yongsan Presidential Office is about 3 km.

Considering traffic management, President Yoon’s commute time is expected to be reduced to 5 minutes, half of what he would take to work at his previous home in Seocho-dong.

Hannam-dong residents gave mixed responses to concerns about the expected traffic inconvenience and noise from the gathering.

The process of moving to Hannam-dong’s official home was a series of controversies.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, who was living in his official residence, had to find a place to hold a diplomatic event while he moved to another place.

During the construction of the official residence, there was controversy regarding private contracts with unlicensed companies, the participation of companies related to Mrs.

There was also an allegation that the security forces of the government residence in Hannam-dong were over-deployed following the 10.29 disaster, but the guard denied that it was not true.

“The fact that there are 200 people in Hannam-dong is much more inflated now, and the police personnel in the Blue House are operating on a similar scale now.”

The current Seocho-dong private home will reportedly not be sold and will remain vacant for now.

President Yoon, who came to work for the first time from his official residence, visits Bongeunsa Temple in Gangnam and has lunch with Christian elders, and continues to seek advice from the religious community every day.
