On the 30th, President Yoon Seok-yeol refused to accept the motion to dismiss Foreign Affairs Minister Park Jin, which was passed by the Democratic Party in the National Assembly the day before.

Chief Public Relations Officer of the Office of the President Kim Eun-hye released a situation statement on the same day, saying, “Today, the Ministry of Personnel Affairs and Innovation informed the presidential office of the National Assembly’s recommendation to dismiss Minister Park, saying, ‘In accordance with Article 63 of the Constitution, we propose the dismissal of Minister Park. He said, “President Yoon Seok-yeol said, ‘I will not accept the dismissal motion.'” Minister Park also clarified that he had no intention of resigning, noting that the National Assembly had passed the motion to dismiss him. as a result of a “political dispute.” In the morning of the same day, Minister Park held a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Jongno-gu, Seoul. I do not agree with the opposition’s claim that this visit is a ‘diplomatic disaster’.”

Before this, President Yoon dismissed the possibility of replacing Park, saying, “I believe the public knows who is right and who is wrong.”
