Former Chief Prosecutor Yoon Jae-soon, former chief of the operation support division of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, was appointed by President Yoon Seok-yeol as the general secretary in charge of the housekeeping of the presidential office.

He is considered to be the closest aide to President Yoon’s prosecution.

The Hankook Ilbo reported that Secretary Yoon made inappropriate physical contact with a female employee at the Seoul Southern Branch in 1996 and was subject to ‘personal measures’. It was reported that he received a warning from the chief of the Supreme Prosecutor’s Inspection Division.

As a result of MBC’s coverage, it was reported that the 2012 sexual assault case was a public fact that many employees of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office knew.

The presidential office issued a short notice after receiving clarification from Secretary Yoon.

“The reported content and circumstances are not part of the facts,” he explained.

The question is, how did Secretary Yoon, who was twice involved in the sexual assault commission, pass the personnel inspection?

The Democratic Party demanded the immediate dismissal of President Yoon, arguing that he was aware of the abuses of his aides and condoned them.
