Illinois Basketball: Illini mentioned in the latest Nimari Burnett interview
There was only one state of Minnesota product to offer Illinois's basketball team Monday.
The Illini came in with another offer and this time he was with Prince Aligbe. Aligbe was also offered a scholarship with the team, Chet Holmgren. Both of these young players are on the rise and Illinois is starting to get involved with them soon in the process.
Aligbe is a 6-foot-5, 185 pound little forward from the Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is rated as a four star recruiter player No. 30 in class 2022 and the number 8 in the nation. Here are the early projects from Future 150.
Illinois seems to be one of the first programs to offer Aligbe scholarship. According to their Twitter profile, the West Kentucky is one to offer another. This kid is a great success soon because it will be very talented throughout the high school and in college degrees.
Aligbe is just finishing a new season in high school, and it seems that he could play a big college basketball. It's good for your kid to age, and he only uses the size to score the basketball. I see that route often. Some of the children have an impact on high school level because they are more than everyone. However, Aligbe's skills, which I believe, have to move to the next level.
I like Aligbe's ability to shoot the ball from anywhere to the court. It is a threat to pull it in deep or can get the bucket. It's also very fast on the floor. This helps to get around the defendants.
Aligbe has a long way to go to college degrees. He still has three years of high school basketball after completing his new season. However, I believe this kid will get up in the top 15 in the 2022 class. In the meantime, it is optimistic that Illinois can have a huge impact.
