Private sector exports grow by 85% Private sector exports grew by 85 per cent

Doha: Exports from the country’s private sector increased by 85 per cent to 230 crore riyals in October 2021, according to a report by the Qatar Chamber. According to the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, exports in the previous year stood at Rs 124 crore, indicating a recovery from the economic impact of the Kovid epidemic compared to the previous year. The report states that the Qatar Chamber of Commerce supports the country’s trade sector and takes all necessary steps to encourage investment and growth.

In 2021, there were 56902 electronic transactions. 42,321 certificates were issued for exports. The Qatar Chamber has 70,000 members, according to the report. According to the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, exports in October 2021 increased by 17.9 per cent year-on-year in February 2020, an increase of 302 per cent over the previous year. Most exports are to Oman. Exports to Oman accounted for 23 percent. India is in second place with 22%. It is followed by China, Turkey and Germany. The major exports were essential industrial oil and aluminum products.
