‘Proactive response’ spell effect?

◀ anchor ▶

In some recent violent incidents, the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency ordered a more active response as it was pointed out that the on-site response of the police was ineffective.

Perhaps because of that, the police arrested a man who resisted with a weapon today by firing a stun gun and live ammunition.

After receiving the report, the police rushed to the parked truck.

The man immediately got out of the truck.

He holds a weapon in his hand.

The man enters the factory despite police restraint, and when he does not stop despite repeated warnings, the police fire a taser at the man.

However, the man used the weapon he was holding to remove the live iron core, then wielded the weapon and threatened the police.

The man who broke through the factory building door and entered the building resisted fiercely, and eventually the police fired one blank and three live bullets and arrested him.

Two live bullets pierced the man’s thigh and the other one was lodged in the thigh.

The man was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery, but his condition is not life-threatening.

This live ammunition firing is the first case in which a firearm has been used at the scene after Commissioner Kim Chang-ryong ordered the nationwide police to actively use physical force on the 24th of last month.

“In order to protect the lives and safety of the people as our top priority, we will take strict action against violent crimes using weapons in accordance with the due process.”

During a police investigation, the man stated that he broke in because he had money to be paid by a factory official.

The police are planning to investigate the specific motive of the crime against this man and apply for an arrest warrant for obstruction of the execution of special duties.
