ZVORNIK – The tourist organization of the city of Zvornik has announced that the first promotional walk from the Church of the Birth of St. John the Baptist in Zvornik to the underground city of Karađorđević in Mali Zvornik will be held tomorrow, which will symbolically mark the beginning of linking the tourist offers of these two cities.
The participants of the first walk are the students of the third grade of the tourist course of the Secondary School Center “Petar Kočić” Zvornik, members of the hiking societies “Korak” and “Mladost”, representatives of the City Administration and other interested fellow citizens, announced the Zvornik Tourist Organization.
A mural depicting the former arrival of King Alexander the First Karađorđević in Zvornik was recently painted in Zvornik, while the project to create the thematic trail “In the Footsteps of King Alexander the First Karađorđević” entered its final phase.
The start of the “King’s Footsteps” walk is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. in front of the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist to Stanko Nikolić’s house, then to the mural “At lunch with Stanko Nikolić – regent in Zvornik”, then across the bridge of King Alexander the First Karađorđević to the underground city of Karađorđević in Mali Zvornik.
In the premises of the underground city of Karađorđević, an agreement on cooperation between the tourist organizations of the city of Zvornik and the municipality of Mali Zvornik will be signed, which will start official cross-border cooperation in the field of tourism, according to the Tourist Organization of Zvornik.
