Prosecutors are seeking an arrest warrant for a secretary who helped Kim Seong-tae escape abroad

The prosecution, which is investigating suspected corruption in the Ssangbangwool Group, requested an arrest warrant for the secretary who helped former Ssangbangwool chairman Kim Seong-tae (indictment arrested) escape abroad.

On the 8th, the 6th Criminal Division of the Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office (Chief Kim Young-nam) requested an arrest warrant for Mr. Park on charges of escaping from the criminal. Park was taken from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to Incheon Airport on the morning of the 7th, the day before.

Mr Park is suspected of escaping crimes against former chairman Kim and former head of the financial affairs department Ssangbang-wool Kim. It is known that Mr Park left the country with former Chairman Kim when he fled abroad on May 31 last year and acted as his aide and driver.

Park was caught by the Cambodian police on the 10th of last month when former chairman Kim was arrested in Thailand, and was crossing over into Cambodia carrying several mobile phones and a bag containing a bundle of documents that the former chairman Kim uses them. Our prosecutors say that the Cambodian authorities have taken over the property that Mr. Park carrying it at the time.

The interrogation of the suspect (warrant review) prior to Park’s arrest will be held at the Suwon District Court on the 9th.

Meanwhile, former chairman Kim Ssangbang-ul’s brother-in-law, former head of finance and finance, is also expected to be returned from Thailand this weekend at the earliest. He is a person who is known to have played the role of ‘security keeper’ by managing the entire double leak fund and assets of former Chairman Kim.
