Jakarta: Street protests against Israel’s participation in the Under-20 World Cup football tournament to be held in Indonesia from May 20 to June 11. The protest is supported by organizations including Muhammadiyah, which has more than six crore members.
Indonesia has cut diplomatic ties with Israel in protest against the crackdown on Palestinians. However, the government has made it clear that Israel will not be banned from the tournament.
