PS Prashant joins CPM, ousted by Congress PS Prasanth | CPM

Thiruvananthapuram: Former KPCC secretary P.S. Prashant joined the CPM. Party Acting Secretary A. Vijayaraghavan announced Prashant’s entry into the party during a press conference at the AKG Center. A. Vijayaraghavan received Prashanth along with district leaders including district secretary Anavur Nagappan at the press conference hall.

PS Prashant said that he would join the CPM without any conditions and would follow the instructions given by the party. Prashant will be given a reception by the district committee on the sixth day. Prashant said he joined the CPM because it was a secular party that dealt with the problems of the people.

Prashant said he had informed the Congress leadership of some concerns affecting the party but had taken a unilateral stand without trusting the local leaders. The Congress does not have the opportunity to conduct peaceful political activities with peace of mind. Prashant accused the Congress and the High Command of being undemocratic.

PS was the Nedumangad UDF candidate in the assembly elections. Prashant. Prashant was expelled from the party for raising serious allegations against AICC general secretary KC Venugopal while he was suspended for publicly accusing current DCC president Palode Ravi of electoral defeat. Yesterday, Prashant had said that he would work with a party that upholds secularism and that the Pinarayi government had regained power because of good governance.

Prashant had alleged that Venugopal was the root cause of the Congress’ problems in Kerala. Palode Ravi was described as ‘Kumpiti’. Only those who are directly or indirectly associated with Venugopal are included in the DCC list. Palode did not seek action against Ravi for trying to defeat him. However, he requested that no ‘reward’ be given. But he was made DCC president. It is sad that Oommen Chandy also supported it. He was always in Group A.

Prashant had alleged that Palode Ravi had taken an approach that Nedumangad himself would not even allow to work. He called and threatened those who worked for him. His style is to create sectarianism in the party. His wife fears that his life is in danger. Ravi liked acting. If she had acted in a film, she would have won an Oscar and a Bharat Award. Prashant had said yesterday that if Mullappally Ramachandran had been the KPCC president, Ravi would not have been made the DCC president.
