PSL does no good to Pakistan: Danish Kaneria

Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has said that the Pakistan Super League is not doing much good for Pakistan cricket. “India is getting a lot of players through the IPL and Pakistan is not getting that much advantage through the PSL,” Kaneria said.

“The IPL presents many great players to Indian cricket. It’s getting better every season. But the PSL is not doing much good for Pakistan cricket. If a player plays well in the PSL, he will not get more opportunities in the national team due to the unprofessional attitude of the Pakistan Cricket Board, ”Kaneria told the Hindustan Times.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Rameez Raja has said that the IPL star auction will be implemented from next season. “When the PSL becomes as lucrative a league as the IPL, we will see who is going to skip it and play in the IPL,” Rameez Raja added.

‘The PCB needs to find new ways to improve the economy. ICC funding and PSL are currently the board’s main sources of revenue. PSL is planning to make some changes from next season. Implementing a star auction is important. Money is the basis of such leagues. That way, as cricket in Pakistan grows, other teams’ attitudes towards us will change. When more money is spent on star auction, we can see who is going for IPL instead of PSL, ”said Rameez Raja.
