In June, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety reviewed and published the newly established food standards and specifications of the types of foods for special medical use for cancer patients, manufacturing and processing standards, etc. for the balanced nutritional management of cancer patients. Dietary food for cancer patients reduces nutritional deficiencies by supplying enough calories and nutrients to cancer patients, maintaining physical activity and functions, and choosing appropriate ingredients to help them quickly regain reduced physical strength. Nam Jeong-min, managing director of Pulmuone’s FI business division, said, “Pulmuone is a market leader based on its expertise in diet-type meal management for special medical purposes.” We will continue to innovate and introduce products that we can make,” he said.

Pulmuone Foods plans to launch ‘Cancer Meal’ within this year. It is a dietary food for cancer patients designed to provide enough nutrients with one meal considering the amount of food consumed by cancer patients and those who have experienced cancer. We intend to introduce menus and options that take into account various characteristics, such as those who experience nutritional imbalances or those who need to eat lightly.
