PV Sindhu: World Badminton Tour Finals; PV Sindhu in the final

In Sunday’s final, Sindhu will face South Korea’s Ansi Young. This is Sindhu’s third time reaching the final of the tournament, which features only the top 8 players of the season.

Bali: PV Sindhu of India advanced to the final of the BWF World Tour Finals. In the semi-finals, Sindhu defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan. Sindhu won two games to one, 21-15, 15-21, 21-19.

In Sunday’s final, Sindhu will face South Korea’s Ansi Young. This is Sindhu’s third time reaching the final of the tournament, which features only the top 8 players of the season. The 2018 champion Sindhu was the first Indian to achieve this feat.

Sindhu was in great form after winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics. He then reached the semifinals of the French Open, the Indonesian Masters and the Indonesian Open. Sindhu, ranked seventh in the world, is the runners-up at the Swiss Open in March.
