PV Sindhu: World Badminton Tour Finals; PV Sindhu returns with silver

Bali: Indian badminton player PV Sindhu loses the title at the BWF World Tour Finals 2021. In the final, Sindhu lost to South Korean An Se-young. 19-year-old Ann wins straight games. Score: 21-16, 21-12. This is Sindhu’s second defeat in the final of the tour, which features only the top eight players of the season.

PV Sindhu, who lost in the 2017 final, had won the title in 2018. Sindhu became the first Indian player to win the World Badminton Tour Finals.

With today’s title, Ansi Yong will be able to take complete control of Sindhu. Today was the third match between the two. Ann had beaten Sindhu in the previous two matches.

Sindhu was in good form after winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics. He then reached the semifinals of the French Open, the Indonesian Masters and the Indonesian Open. Sindhu, ranked seventh in the world, was runners-up at the Swiss Open in March.
