In particular, the number of symptomatic patients in Pyongyang stood at 83,445 in just one day on the 14th, overwhelmingly among the 13 cities and provinces under direct control. This accounted for 38.2% of the 218,188 symptomatic cases across North Korea on the same day.
As the rate of symptomatic cases in Pyongyang is higher than the rate of confirmed cases, it seems highly likely that additional confirmed cases will pour out in Pyongyang in the future.
South Hwanghae Province, where rice planting is in progress, followed with 22,808 people, followed by 19,504 in Gangwon, 16,567 in Nampo, and 15,112 in North Hwanghae.
