Doha: Change in working hours of government offices in Qatar. The decision was announced by the Qatar Cabinet which met today in line with Qatar’s preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Between November 1 and December 19, the number of employees in the government sector will be reduced to 20 percent and 80 percent of employees will work remotely. The working hours of government offices will be between 7am and 11am.
The security, military, health and education sectors are exempt from this decision. But the companies operating in the private sector will work as usual, said the officials.
The FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
