Doha ഖത്ത Qatar holds the Guinness World Record for planting the most number of saplings at a time. At the tree planting event held on 9th Dukhan Road, people from 66 countries, including India, planted one tree at a time.
It was organized by Ashgabat Roads and Public Places Beautification Oversight Committee. The event was attended by Guinness World Records judges Alan Pixel and Louis Toms.
The tree saplings are being planted across the country as part of the ‘Qatar Beautification-Our Kids Plant Trees’ campaign under the Ministry of Environment’s ’10 Million Tree Planting’ project. Already 5,50,000 trees have been planted.
