Disbursement of money through bank accounts
According to an agreement reached between Qatar and Israel, financial assistance to Gaza will be provided through the United Nations. Qatar will deposit money in Qatar Bank at the UN. From there, it is delivered directly to the beneficiaries through bank accounts under the supervision of the UN. UN Bank accounts will be made available to those who are eligible for assistance. Israeli Defense Minister Benny Ganttos has said that under the new rules, Israel will monitor who pays Qatar. He said he was also considering ways to bring money to Gaza through the Palestinian Authority, which is controlled by the West Bank.
One million dollars will be paid next week
Under the new agreement, Qatar will provide $ 1 billion in Gaza aid next week. Qatar has pledged $ 500 million to renovate Gaza. Qatar’s envoy to Gaza, Mohammed al – Imadi, said the aid would reach Gaza through the United Nations World Food Program and would benefit more than 100,000 families.
The only reliance is on aid from outside Gaza, which has been embroiled in an Israeli blockade since 2007. It is estimated that the unemployment rate here is more than 50 percent. An Israeli airstrike last May killed at least 250 people and left more than 4,000 homeless. Qatar’s financial assistance is aimed at providing them with temporary relief.

Israel has cut off aid from Qatar, accusing Hamas of using Qatar’s aid to rehabilitate Gaza and using it to stockpile weapons. Earlier, cash was routed to Gaza via the Israeli border. Each month, $ 30 million was shipped to Gaza in boxes. But after the Israeli-Gaza war in May, Israel did not allow Qatar to disburse money. It was alleged that Hamas was procuring weapons with money provided by Qatar. It was in this context that a new way of distributing aid was sought.
