Dubai: Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani has arrived in the UAE. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
This is the first visit of a Qatari minister to the UAE since the siege. Since the lifting of sanctions in January, there have been ongoing efforts to improve relations between the two countries. In August, UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahanoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Doha for talks with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Following this, the image of the two leaders standing with the Saudi Crown Prince on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia went viral. Qatar has one of the most important pavilions at the Dubai Expo. The visit of the Qatari Foreign Minister in the context of the Expo in the UAE and the World Cup in Qatar will also help in trade and industry cooperation.
