His son is also following in the footsteps of Indian cricket team coach and former star Dravid.
Rahul Dravid’s son, who was known as the big wall in the Indian cricket team, will now play the role of captain in the Karnataka cricket team.
Dravid’s son Anvai Dravid has been appointed as the captain of the Karnataka under-14 team.
Anvay Dravid will lead the Karnataka team for the South Zone matches in the Interzone Cricket Tournament.
Like his father, Anwai plays the role of a batter. Anvay is also a wicket keeper. According to reports, Anva has been given the captaincy of Karnataka U-14 team due to his consistent performances.
Apart from Anva, the actor’s younger son, his elder son Samit Dravid is also a cricketer.
In the 2019-2020 season, Samit scored two double centuries in U-14 cricket.
At the same time, the Indian team, which toured New Zealand under Dravid’s coaching, is performing well. The Indian team won the first match of the ODI by 12 runs. India were all out for 349 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs in a brilliant match when Shubman Gill scored a double century.
In reply, the Kiwis fought for victory supported by Michael Brackwell’s 140 runs, but were bowled out for 337 runs by the excellent bowling of Muhammad Siraj.
The team’s second crucial match will be played at the Raipur Cricket Stadium on January 21.
India can win the series if they win the match.
