Thrissur: Old food was seized from various hotels in Thrissur city. The old food was seized during a raid carried out by the Corporation’s health department. An inspection last month also caught old food.
During the inspection carried out by the corporation’s health department in 19 hotels, old food was seized from four hotels. Fried and fried inedible portions and old fashioned food items like kubboos chapati rice were seized from Ayanthol Lantern Restaurant, Olari Nia Regency, Kuriyachira Green Leaf and Kanimangalam Das Regency. The health department said it would take legal action against the institutions.
During the inspection carried out in the area last month, old food was seized from four places. The information received from the authorities is that the inspection will continue.
