The problems started with Rajasthan captain Sanju editing a photo of himself on a team bus and tweeting ‘How beautiful’. In the picture, they edited Sanju’s face with a blue turban and black glasses. However, the problem worsened when Sanju came forward with a critique against it. “It’s understandable if friends do such things, but a professional team should act like a professional,” Sanju said in a tweet from the Rajasthan Royals.

After Sanju’s criticism, the team deleted the film, but by then, the film and Sanju’s response had become a topic of discussion. Following this, the management of Rajasthan came to the scene with an explanation of the incident. The Rajasthan Royals official tweet said that the attitude towards handling social media will change and there will be no problems within the team. The Rajasthan management said in a tweet that it would review the digital approach and appoint a new team to handle the digital division. Following Sanju’s criticism, the team management also shared videos of head coach Kumar Sangakkara, CEO Jake Lash McGram, team players Ravichandran Ashwin and Jose Butler talking to the social media team.
