Gokulam Gopalan has acquired the Kerala distribution rights of Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Prisoner directed by Nelson under the banner of Sri Gokulam Movies. The Vijay starrer Leo is also being brought to theaters by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Movies.
Produced by Kalanidhi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Jailer will hit the theaters on August 10. The film also has the distinction of Mohanlal sharing screen space with Rajinikanth for the first time. Jailer is also Rajini’s 169th film. Rajini will play the role of a prisoner named Muthuvel Pandian.
Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and Vikram’s Cobra were also distributed by Gokulam Movies in Kerala. The last six films of Laika Productions were brought to Kerala by Gokulam Movies.
Tamannaah is coming as the heroine in Jailer. Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Shivraj Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Sunil etc are listed in the movie. Anirudh is composing the music for the film. PRO – Sabari
