Ravi Shastri says ‘overconfidence’ is humbling; Rohit Sharma reacts with his mouth closed

Former coach and commentator Ravi Shastri, who said that India was modest in the indoor Test due to overconfidence, reacted to Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s reaction. Rohit called Ravi Shastri’s statement absurd.

Rohit’s reaction was in the press conference held before the fourth Test against Australia. It was also notable that Rohit described Ravi Shastri, who was the coach of the Indian team for six years, as an outsider. “To be honest, some outsiders said we were overconfident when we won the first two games. This is completely absurd. Because we want to give our best performance in all the four matches of the series,’ said Rohit.

We don’t play to stop after winning two games. People like them can be said to be overconfident. Because they’re not with us in the changing room, they don’t know what we’re talking about. We strive to perform well in every competition. It doesn’t concern us if outsiders find her overconfident or anything else. Ravi Shastri was also part of the dressing room till some time ago. Rohit also said that he knows what kind of mentality we go into every game with.

Australia won the indoor test by nine wickets. The fourth and final match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat on Thursday. India leads the series 2-1.
