Ravichandran Ashwin – India
Ravichandran Ashwin, who is vying for the ICC Test Player of the Year 2021, is all set to make a comeback this year. He took 52 wickets in 8 Tests in 2021 and scored 337 runs, including a century. Ashwin’s brilliant innings (29 * off 128 balls) in the Sydney Test against Australia gave India a thrilling draw.

Joe Root – England
England Test captain Joe Root is set to make one of the best performances of his career this year. In 2021, he scored 1708 runs in 15 matches, including 6 centuries. Root also recently became the third player after Vivian Richards and Mohamed Youssef to score 1700 runs in a calendar year.
Kyle Jamison – New Zealand
Kyle Jamison, one of New Zealand’s future hopefuls, is also set to make a comeback in 2021. He has taken 27 wickets in 5 matches this year at an average of 17.51. Jamison, who played a key role in New Zealand’s victory in the inaugural World Test Championship, took seven wickets in the final against India and was named Man of the Match.

Dimuth Karunaratne – Sri Lanka
2021 was also a dream year for Sri Lanka Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne. This year he has scored 902 runs in 7 Tests at an average of 69.38. He scored all four centuries. His century against South Africa in Johannesburg earned him the applause of the entire cricketing world. Karunaratne scored 103 off just 128 balls against South Africa’s strong bowling line-up of Antri Norcia and Lungi Engidi.
