Red Bull F1 announces partnership with Ford at RB19 launch event?[F1-Gate.com]

Red Bull F1 is rumored to announce its partnership with Ford in the 2023 F1 machine “RB19” in New York.

Two car manufacturers are set to enter F1 in the near future. Porsche doesn’t seem to be one of them anymore. Audi, a car manufacturer under the same Volkswagen umbrella, has signed a new F1 engine rule from 2026.

Porsche has failed to negotiate a partnership with Red Bull Racing, and it is believed that rumors of a new agreement with Williams F1 have gone off the mark.

Red Bull Racing, which has avoided losing its famous independence, may now be on a different track by partnering with Ford to run its new Red Bull Powertrains campaign.

Further strengthening the Ford rumors is Red Bull’s decision to launch its 2023 F1 campaign in New York in early February.

Sister team Scuderia AlphaTauri announced the livery of the 2023 F1 machine “AT04” to declare the Red Bull clothing brand in February in line with Fashion Week (February 10-15) in New York. There are still marketing plans to show in New York on the 11th. make sense.

However, Red Bull announced that it will hold the 2023 “season launch” in New York on February 3, a week before. The US is undoubtedly an important market for F1, but if you look beyond that, the announcement of a partnership with Ford lends credibility.

And in the near future, the second American automaker to enter F1 could be General Motors (GM).

That’s because it’s believed that Cadillac, which is teaming up with Andretti, which is aiming to enter F1, will likely sign an engine rebranding deal with Alpine Renault rather than just developing the 2026 F1 engine.

GM President Mark Reuss confirmed, “We have an engine agreement with a supplier.”

“If we go ahead, we will bring a lot of our knowledge and develop it for the future as well.”

The president of the FIA, Mohamed bin Sulayem, is keen to welcome Cadillac and GM to the grid.

“I spoke to Mario and Michael Andretti at the Miami race weekend,” he told Auto Motor und Spor at the 2023 Monte Carlo Rally.

“At that time we had a clear answer: we want manufacturers. We told Andretti to work with them if they are serious about it. We said it. We said it. We did it and they did it.”

“How can you say no to a manufacturer like GM?”

“We can add two more teams. That’s the rule. If they are credible and viable as a business, we should allow new teams to come in.”

Finally, Mohammed Bin Suleyem suggested that “as early as next week, another manufacturer may sign the 2026 engine regulations.”
