Red Bull Honda F1 Max Verstappen admits that one day he wants to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with his father, Jos Verstappen.
Max Verstappen is 100% committed to F1 and is completely absorbed in the title battle with Lewis Hamilton, especially this year, but has included his father Jos Verstappen in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past. It suggested that there was a desire to challenge in the lineup.
“We’re talking a bit about it,” said Max Verstappen.
“Now there are hypercars and we still need a few entries to fully establish them. I think it will take a few more years to get a little more accurate picture of what we want to do at Le Mans.”
“I definitely want to do it in the future. Of course, it would be great if I could do it with my dad.”
This year, Toyota won the WEC’s new hypercar class. Glickenhaus was participating as a privateer. In 2023, Peugeot and Ferrari are planning to participate in the hypercar.
Jos Verstappen drove the Van Merksteijn Motorsport Porsche RS Spyder in 2008 to win the 24-hour classic LMP2 class and a year later the last competitive Le Mans in the LMP1 category with Aston Martin Racing. Enjoyed the motorsport tour.
