Red Bull F1 Representative “There is no reason to protest the rear suspension of Mercedes”[F1-Gate .com]

Red Bull F1 seems to avoid the risk of undermining the climax of the 2021 title battle by protesting Mercedes’ rear suspension.

Red Bull F1 was dissatisfied with Mercedes’ straight-line speed, which suddenly improved in the middle of the season, and was initially skeptical of upgrading its power unit.

But since then, attention has been focused on setting up suspensions that lower the rear of the car at high speeds. Red Bull F1 Helmut Marko claims that the system is getting a 15kph boost.

However, Red Bull F1 team representative Christian Nhorner says there is no possibility of protest.

“It’s been used historically. We’ve seen it with them (Mercedes) in the past,” said Christian Horner.

“We have never said that we don’t think it’s legal, and there’s no reason to protest.”
