Red Bull F1 team principal Christian Horner says Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez’s current driver lineup is one of the best teams have ever appointed.
Since Daniel Ricciardo, who was able to rival Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing’s second seat has always been a controversial issue. Sergio Perez is his latest driver, and despite his somewhat volatile performance, Christian Horner appreciates it.
Asked where the current lineup is in the history of Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner said, “It’s one of the best lineups I’ve ever had. I’ve always had good dynamics with Daniel and I’ve had problems with Alex last year. There wasn’t, “he replied to Sky Sports F1.
“But Sergio knows what the goals for the remaining six races are. One of those goals is to bring him as close to the front line of the field as possible.”
Sergio Perez hasn’t been on the podium since the F1 French Grand Prix, but has returned to the podium at the F1 Turkish Grand Prix.
However, Christian Horner pays attention to it.
“He should have been on the podium in Monza, and he should have been on the podium in Sochi,” continued Christian Horner.
“He will play an important role in the Constructors’Championship, and of course he and Valtteri will also play an important role in the Drivers’ Championship.”
