Reduced score-rank dropped! CPI result, Thailand’s Corruption Perception Index 64, got 35 points, ranked at 110 of the world.

Reporters reported that on January 25, 2022 at about 12.01 p.m. in Thailand time Transparency International (Transparency International or TI) publish the results of the Corruption Perceptions Index survey or CPI) of the year 2021 by the number of countries 180 countries around the world

Thailand received 35 points, ranked 110th in the world, down 36 points from the previous year and ranked 104th in the world.

Thailand’s CPI score statistics for 2021, when compared to other ASEAN countries, found that Thailand was ranked 6th out of 11 countries, with Singapore ranked first at 85 points, followed by Malaysia with 48 points, Timor-Leste 41 points. Vietnam 39 points, Indonesia 38 points and Thailand 35 points.

Next up is the Philippines with 33 points, Laos 30 points, Myanmar 28 points, Cambodia 23 points, and Brunei did not specify the 2021 scores (see figure).

For the data sources of scores from the CPI year 2021 used in the assessment, there are a total of 9 data sources out of 100 points.
1. Does the IMD WORLD or points for bribery and corruption exist? and how much is 39 points, a decrease of 2 points compared to the year 2020 which was 41 points

2. BF (IT) or how effective the suppression of corruption and law enforcement against offenders was 37 points, equal to the year 2020.

3. EIU or transparency and accountability in government budget spending 37 points equal to the year 2020

4.GI or business operations How much must be involved in corruption? 35 points equal to the year 2020

PERC, or the level of perception of how corruption is a problem affecting social, economic and political institutions, was 36 points, a decrease of 2 points compared to 38 in 2020.

6.PRS or political power or position There is corruption using the patronage system. and kinship and how much the political and business sectors are related? 32 points, the same as in 2020.

7. WEF, or how much bribes must be paid by businesses in various processes: 42 points, a decrease of 1 point compared to 43 in 2020.

8. WJP, or how badly a government official has abusive behavior of his position: 35 points, a decrease of 3 points compared to 38 in 2020.

9. V-DEM or corruption in government, executive, legislative and judicial branches regarding bribery. Conflicts between individual and collective interests how much Thailand scored an increase of 6 points with 26 points compared to 2020, which was only 20 points.
