Relatives say body found not Alan’s; Search again | Koottickal Landslide

Kottayam: The body of a student named Alan, who was found in the Koottikkal landslide, is suspected to have changed. The body was sent for postmortem yesterday as it was confirmed to be Alan’s. The body parts were obtained from a location. But the foot that came with the body was found not to belong to Alan.

The search began on the page where the body parts were found. Suspicion that another person was in danger. Relatives said the body did not belong to Alan. But officials say only the foot has changed. Alan is the son of Joby of Plappally River. Alan’s mother Sonia also died in the accident.

The funeral of six members of Martin’s family who died in the tragedy will be held at Kavalippally. Kootikkal, Mundakkayam and Kanjirapally areas have been cleaned up. Homes and shops were covered in mud. Voluntary organizations are also available to help. Large tankers are brought in and hit the mud with motors.
